Local Area Heritage
In March we explored our current locality using satellite images, pictures and maps.We delved into the history of our place using historical maps, Griffith’s Valuation maps and others to see how this area has changed over the past 200 years. The various historical, cultural and social landmarks of the area were also explored. Gradually, the pupils created a unique historical guide of this locality with the help of Heritage in Schools expert Martin Curley.
