The Junior Entrepreneur Showcase day took place in Roscommon last week. Pupils had an opportunity to view projects from other schools. They were presented with the Junior Entrepreneur Flag and a plaque for the school. Pupils also received individual certificates. It was very interesting to see the great variety of projects on display and talk to other schools about their ideas. This programme is an entrepreneurial awareness and skills enhancement programme for primary school children. This programme aims to help children recognise enterprise and entrepreneurship and to foster an awareness and understanding of the entrepreneur’s role in the community therefore empowering the child to start to think and act with the initiative, creativity independence and ideas that are invaluable in the modern world.
